COUNSELLING: WHO MAY BENEFIT?Counselling can be helpful if you generally cope well with life but are experiencing recent difficulties or feel ready to make personal or professional changes. Typically, counselling lasts from 6 to 24 sessions and is an opportunity to talk through specific problems. It provides support whilst making decisions and going through transitions, or is simply a quiet space to reflect. Fees for counselling are £60 - £70 per session, with some reduced fee sessions occasionally available for those on low income or benefits.
If difficulties are complex and long-standing, I may recommend longer-term or more frequent psychotherapy instead. For details, see the page 'Attachment Based Psychotherapy.'
